The Selkirk is a great pub just opened up in the suburbs of Tooting. The girls and I from the #London Bloggers Supper Club, attended the opening and presented with a tasting menu from head chef Daniel Stevens (Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s sous chef for 4 years). The Selkirk is more than your local drinking hub, they are striving to bring your pub classics with a twist, with competitive prices and a very relaxed atmosphere.
On arrival we were greeted with a delicious cocktail that showcased the owner’s freshly made Lemonade. A selection of English and French cheeses, proscuitto, and freshly made parmesan croquettes were offered to sample before being spoilt to a 4 course tasting menu, with matching wines. If you are a foodie, you would appreciate the difference the Selkirk brings to the table, comfort with class.
