Japanese flavour is in the house!
I have been meaning to write this blog for quite some time, after eating here more than 3x! Which in the food world is a great feat when there is literally a new place popping up each week. Who can keep up with that sort of level?
Namo! Located in the old school favourite Thai Me Up spot on Ponsonby Road, it brings you your favourites and classics done well with a super fresh tone. Some of the top picks for your next dining experience: The Bridge Roll, Miso Chanpom and Chicken Katsu with BBQ Sauce.
The Bridge Roll – Freshly made sushi filled with Spicy Teriyaki Salmon. It is creatively presented, the rice is perfectly cooked, with the filling to rice proportion right on point. You cant go to Namo without ordering the Miso Chanpom. The soup is creamy and warming. The flavour of the miso just melts in your mouth and is a great portion size. If you love your classic Chicken Katsu, then this dish is for you. The outside has a great crunch with keeping the chicken extremly moist inside. It is great value for money as the portion size is abundant.
The service is pleasant and food is timely. If Japanese food is your thing, then Namo is where its at. Add it to your foodie list and get there fast.
