When you eat you aim to find that moment of happiness that will give you the ultimate satisfaction (well i do anyway). With the trends and influences of healthy eating upon us we find new spots popping up serving up plant based raw meals. When you think of this it doesn’t really shout yes that is for me. Well this weekend I took a step closer to the healthy zone and dined for lunch at Little Bird Unbakery in Ponsonby.
If you are going to eat here you may as well go all out. Both of us ordered kombucha alongside the Nachos and Potato Dosa wrap. Sceptical at first, I thought this would be a great place to come to try boost the low energy levels I have had recently, and to be truly honest I actually really enjoyed my meal and my mates meal. If you are undecided about whether the price is worth it, go for it.
The portion size was more than plenty. I actually took the the 2nd half of the wrap home. There was a nice curried flavour in the potatoes with a healthy amount of salad. The dosa wrap is a great choice to mix up your boring sandwich letting you walk away without any kind of bloated feeling.
The nachos also were a generous size. It was an inviting and colourful dish with a great balance of flavour and textures.
The service was warm and friendly with the food served well on time. I may not go out and eat as healthy as this for every meal but I am happily converted to what Little Bird Unbakery offers.
