Burger Bonanza! London is all about their burgers, and with that came National Burger Day. I have been introduced to an array of restaurants that just up the ante. I thought the burger was the American favourite, but the English can’t get enough of them. Nida from Food Diaries London and I went to the…
Birchall Tea is more than a brand. Its a company where family generations have enriched and continued a high quality tea from East Africa. Being contacted personally from Birchall, I was asked to attend a lovely afternoon of fine tea tasting at the very exquisite Rosewood Hotel.
Food, booze and more booze. This was the case for London’s Taste of London this year. Highly excited about this event since eating my fatty guts out at the Taste of Auckland the last few years, I must say I was a tad disappointed.
Do you have to like coffee to go to a coffee festival? In this case no. With my aim to eat and experience every type of food and beverage festival whilst living the “London Dream”, I figured.. the coffee festival has food stalls so that was enough of an excuse to say why not.
The Selkirk is a great pub just opened up in the suburbs of Tooting. The girls and I from the #London Bloggers Supper Club, attended the opening and presented with a tasting menu from head chef Daniel Stevens (Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s sous chef for 4 years).
After arriving to London a few weeks in, I was invited to a sushi and gyoza making event with 10 other London food bloggers with compliments of Zomato. The informative and food filling event was held at Japanese restaurant, Kuriya Keiko.
Once a year during the hot month of Summer, the deliciously fresh Seafood Festival comes to Auckland. If you haven’t been prior I would highly recommend it.
With my love of food, comes the love for travel. I’ve always said my dream job would to be paid to eat and travel. I have never been that girl who spends all my earnings on random shopping outings, and saved every xmas penny to travel.
With great blogging comes great elite events. I was fortunate to attend the Maritime Mixer at Generator in Auckland City. With great sponsors offering tasters of their amazing products, we sampled a range of delicious American sweet pies, Clevdon Coast Oysters, Puhoi Valley Cheese, and so forth.
This was a great event called ‘Meet the Makers’ put on by Yelp. It was great hearing the success stories of how Kohu Road Ice Cream and Mt Atkinson originated.
